The Maiden and the Wolf

I used this diorama to get into Blender (I’m a Maya user). When I started, I barely knew how to move the camera! I only stepped outside of Blender for some ZBrush sculpting and Photoshop/Painter for texturing.

My inspiration comes from the low-poly aesthetic of PS1-era games that I’ve always loved, as well as the 3DS game Bravely Default. This style was so fast and fun to work with!

Everything is unlit, using diffuse textures only with a layer of vertex color multiplied on top to fake AO and lighting. Presented in EEVEE.

And a huge thanks to those of you who helped me with feedback and taught me stuff in Blender, you’re the real heroes!

Here I tried to get that Playstation 1 look! Low resolution, banded colors, some texture jitter and ofc the famous vertex wobble.
